Bj Upton to Braves

Do Mets try to look into Michael Bourn? if not.. who now? if anyone

The Mets won't sign anyone of note.

They'll resign the "face of the franchise" and Ra Dickey assuring another season of 70-75 wins, instead making moves that'll actually make a difference by trading guys at their highest value.

For prospects that may or may not pan out?

A pretty good portion of major prospects never reach their potential.

Yeah lets not take any chances, dont want to risk losing our position in 4th place in the NL east.

I would like everyone to understand that we will NOT be signing anyone of importance this offseason. I repeat, we will NOT be signing ANYONE of importance this offseason.

Yeah lets not build around them either and trade them for prospects that if they fail we set the franchise back another 10 years on top of the 4 losing seasons in a row (when if they spend in 2014 they could compete then)

We know what we can get out of Wright and Dickey, that could certainly be the foundation of a winning team if they got the right help

so what? the braves are spending $15mil/yr for a guy who over the last 3 seasons has hit .246 or less. bad deal for them!

He's also just 28 years old, still has very good tools, and has great speed and power.

I'd rather have Upton than Bourn long-term.

Upton has averaged just shy of a 4.0 WAR over his 6 seasons and is entering his prime, the Braves will come out winners here.
