Cain is consistent. Greinke might be a tougher guy, by the slight of God.
Some guys in this world, its tough you know?
cain is a beast and has good peripherals at just about every stadium while I think grinke will flourish at chavez cain might take this one........for now
Matt Cain. Give me the guy who owned in the playoffs
I'm not sure why Giants pitchers don't get the praise they deserve. I'm guessing Lincecum's 2 Cy Young's overshadow how dominant this staff really is.
The Giants in 2009, 2010, and 2011 finished #1 or #2 in all of MLB in pitching. Last year they fell off a bit b/c of Tim's struggles.
Matt Cain went the ENTIRE post-season in 2010 as a starter and yielded 0 ER!
This year he was the allstar starter, pitched a perfect game, was the ace of the staff, and was the winning pitcher in the clinching DS, NLCS, and the game 4 starter in the WS.
He's beaten Verlander when it doesn't matter, and Hamels when it does.
This isn't close. It's Matt Cain, and most GM's in baseball would agree.
This is almost like Bumgarner vs. Moore... what a joke.
There's a reason why the giants keep winning world series... and why others are picking against them. They think that the other team have better pitchers. They don't.
As a Dodger fan I want to say Greinke, but Cain has put better numbers and seems to be getting better.
I'm basing this on my last years fantasy team - Cain
