Marshall....
Hopefully Tice sticks with a similar gameplan the rest of the season. Run heavy, quick throws and occasionally mixing in some bombs. It's the only way this offense can move the ball.
Jay's presence alone was huge. Marshall was was the key.
This game could have been bad, real bad. Shuffling OL before the game, elite pass rusher, replacing said shuffles with replacements in game. It could have been a classic Bears performance, getting Jay killed early and often.
The Vikings recorded 1 sack, when Jay tripped over Garza.
The coaching staff did a really great job yesterday with in game adjustments.
That's not really the point I'm trying to make. Of course you're not going to call the same game each week, but this offense needs some kind of identity.
This offense has been very inefficient all season and hasn't utilized their personnel to the best of their ability. A run heavy attack with a quick strike passing game is best approach IMO and has been all year. Not sure why it took Tice 12 weeks to figure that out.
Can I get credit for MVP?
The problem with the offense is more personnel than anything. The O-line is simply not great, then outside of Marshall, who else do you have? IMO, that's going to be the downfall because good defense will double team Marshall and once they take away Jays favorite target, it's a wrap because Jay isn't really going to throw elsewhere. He's going to force passes and it's not going to be pretty. you will see in due time my friend.
Jay actually spread the ball around pretty well yesterday. Best he has in a while
Earl finally got off a jam
