I need help...
yeah you do
You write too much over night (Italian night).. It takes half my morning lessons to read everything.. And it's a period there's not much to talk..
Any prospect insider subscribers? I'm curious what he wrote for his plan. Of anyone could copy it here or just give the rundown of what he says it would be appreciated.
it wasnt a plan. just a bunch of ideas and scenarios for each position
Well he calls in The Plan. Anyway, what were some of his ideas?
I can't give too much because subscribers aren't supposed to share info that's behind a pay wall. But....
-He thinks the most likely plan for pitching is to stand pat.
-Sees us signing a backup catcher
-stand pat at 3B
He really doesn't mention anything we haven't talked about.
Ah alright.
Im starting to like the Wells platoon idea if we can get a suitable partner. Still want another big bat for the other spot tho.
Heres the top hitters against LHP.

Guys like Garrett Jones, DeJesus and Kubel stood out to me for fairly cheap options to platoon with Wells.
Seth Smith. Always liked that guy.
Yeah I like him too. Struggled a little last year, but he hits righties very well for the most part, can draw a walk, 15 HR power, decent defense, 2 years of control.
Only drawback could be him being in our division, but with fairly minor players it may not be a problem.
Rain City may get his wish of Smoak not being our 1st basemen if we sign Napoli to a 4 year deal with Zunino being our catcher Napoli will probably be our 1st basemen and DH sometimes.

The Red Sox and Mariners continue pursuing free agent catcher Mike Napoli, Jim Bowden of ESPN.com and MLB Network Radio reports (on Twitter). Napoli is holding out for a fourth guaranteed year from Boston, and he's meeting with the Mariners, who might be willing to commit for the extra year.
The Mariners, Red Sox and Yankees are among the teams that have already been linked to Napoli this offseason. The 31-year-old ranked 14th on MLBTR’s top 50 free agent list earlier in the month. He did not obtain a qualifying offer from the Rangers, which means he won’t be linked to draft pick compensation. In 417 plate appearances as a catcher, first baseman and designated hitter, Napoli posted a .227/.343/.469 line with 24 home runs this past season. He is a client of Paragon Sports International.
Meh.
Depends on the price. Career .356 OBP though. This guys how to take a walk.
Wouldn't mind I guess, but Im not hoping for it either. Especially for 4 years.
I don't want to give up for Smoak unless its Butler or something. He isn't enough of an upgrade to give up quite yet.
