Given the precedence for this kind of move (Manning in 2008), would the press vote that way for Brees if the Saints got it back together? Manning's Colts were just 3-4 when he rallied them. What Brees would do would be more impressive.

Someone else will have to give a more indepth answer because my answer is simply YES. He deserves MVP been deserving it too.
I'm voting "yes" because rallying a team from 0-4 would be impressive. Also doing it with an interim coach and an interim interim coach. His main competition is Manning and Rodgers. Brees beats Rodgers in QBR and beats both of them in yards and TDs.
As far as circumstances go, Manning did have a challenge in changing teams and coming back from his injury, but he landed on a playoff team that is running his offense and plays in an awful division. The Saints were crushed by the NFL and to rally from that would be more impressive.
Hope Brees can guide us to the playoffs and make it a close vote, at least.
Adrian Peterson is 1st
Matt Ryan 2nd
Drew Brees 2nd (continue playing "Team Ball" and making the playoff should move him up)
If AP continues on his pace and reaches 1,800 yards, he'll have a damn good case. If the Vikings can somehow make the playoffs out of the North, his good case becomes great.
Not sure I feel you on Ryan. After yesterday he is tied for 3rd in INTs. That hurt him.
Should Brees be the MVP in the given situation? Yes. Will he be? No. Award will probably go to Peyton Manning or Adrian Peterson. I don't see Matt Ryan winning it anymore.
The award became a sham when Manning won it in 2009.
will he deserve it, absolutely.
problem is the media has their heads shoved up Rogers and Mannings *** so much i highly doubt Brees will ever get that award. shame to.
Should he be? Sure. But will he? The league will look at the whole body of work. One of Manning and Rogers are going to win it. Manning likely deserves it since he's led a mediocre team into becoming a serious superbowl threat.
Broncos also made the playoffs last year and are in one of the worst divisions in football.
