A rather interesting list I must say.
I was going to post this lol. ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Okami, and Chrono Trigger are awesome choices.
Sim City and Oregon Trail were my go to in the 90's. Also Command and Conquer was the first online game I ever played.
This list has made me want to buy an N64 again.
Oregon Trail, Breakout, Paperboy, Super Mario Bros, Tecmo, NBA Jam, Madden, Super Mario 64, Goldeneye, GTA, Guitar Hero, Oblivion, Rock Band, Arkham City, COD are all classics for me. Good list. So many amazing games missing though.
Actually not a terrible list, I'm surprised.
It's really hard to argue with that list. I'm surprised that Ocarina of Time didn't make the list, and Arkham City being there surprised me the most. Don't get me wrong, I love the game just didn't think it would be there. I would replace Mass Effect 3 with Mass Effect 2 though.
ME2 is definitely superior to ME3, and any list that doesn't include Ocarina of Time is automatically ridiculous.
It's like leaving The Godfather off a list of the 100 best movies.
Yeah, can't beliece OoT was left off, but remembering Shadow of the Colossus just made me sad. That ending was brutal, but in a heart wrenching way.
Hm the ME2/ME3 thing is closse, i'd take ME3 outside the ending and beginning over ME2, gameplay was superior, maps and locations were better and the stuff between the beginning and the ending was incredible.
yeah leaving OOT out is bad, one of the blueprints for modern gaming. Leaving out stuff like DOTT and Monkey Island, doesn't sit well with me, but there are a ton of games missing like AoE, SystemShock, none of the Baldurs gate games, no Fallout (not the new ones).
But most games on the list deserve to be there.
Should have been Morrowind, not Oblivion
Wow. This list shames me a bit now that I enjoy mindless CoD FPS so much. I DO remember when I liked Myst and Wing Commander. Damn the dumbing down of the world!
Man. Myst. I forgot about that game.
Myth: The Fallen Lords brings me back. Damn did I love that game and its explosion physics. Love me some bomb throwing dwarfs and how they chuckled when they blew stuff up. :D
