Shame... better overall player than Nix.

True, but it basically would have cost the Phillies about $4 million to keep Schierholtz as opposed to $1 mil to get rid of him. Schierholtz is not $3 million better than Nix.
Given the volume of platoons on this roster, Nix might still get cut for somebody with more utility.
just saw of FB (obviously not a great source, but w/e) that rumors are the Phils have offered Hamilton 3 yrs for $80 mil. anyone hear anything similar to put any truth to this?
honestly i'm not even sure i want it to be true; i prefer Swisher...
Anthony Gargano apparently stated this I saw via the always reliable Barstool sports
http://philly.barstoolsports.com/aro...josh-hamilton/
So in other words its probably completely false
I'm listeing to the WIP show...he's saying 3 for 80million
OP may be right after all....AWESOME!
Any other sources on this?
Revere
Utley
Hamilton
Howard
Ruiz
Rollins
Young
Ruf/Brown
Looks good to me!

So is he signing with you guys or not?
Revere
Utley
Rollins
Howard
Hamilton
Young
Ruiz
Ruf/Brown.
Sure, I'll take that.
I would make the lineup:
1.Revere
2.Rollins
3.Hamilton
4.Howard
5.Ruiz
6.Utley
7.Young
8.Brown/Ruff
Utley should be towards the top. He's historically our best on base guy
agree. and until revere proves he can get on base consistently over time (he has not in his young career), rollins is the leadoff man. it's where he is most comfortable, where he wants to be and until someone takes it away from him with their play (not potential), it is his to lose.
Report is from Gargano btw so it's probably bs
