Exactly. Besides, if we get Upton he will get short porch pull crazy and we will have yet another over priced high pop up hitter.

Keep the kids. Jeter, Pettitte, Rivera, Posada and Williams were once all very young and in the Yankee farms.

I can't stand when ppl say "keep the kids" as if the Yankees have a bunch of Mike Trouts in the farm.

Upton is 25-years old ! He's not a kid ?

The question is how many of our kids does it take to get that one?

And for all the potential he might have, he's yet to really demonstrate he's better than Swisher. So if he's going to cost a bunch of prospects to get and Swisher is reasonable in his demands, that route might make more sense.

Really it's about costs. Prospects vs. Money. And how much in each is required.

Just a suggestion:

Cincinnati gets:
Robinson Cano
Ivan Nova

Yankees get:
Brandon Phillips
Mat Latos

On mlbtr it says the dbacks would take a deal centered around a "good young starter"

Hughes is only under contract for one year. I don't think Phelps would interest them enough. And Nova sucks.

don't want to be a buzz kill here but Yankees are not getting Justin Upton. From all the reports i have read the Diamondbacks would want Andrus/Profar + from Texas, the top prospect + Garcia from Detroit so that would easily mean Williams,Pineda + from Yankees to acquire Upton.

Uptown is a big zero. No clue why you guys all want him.

Gimme Chris Dickerson for the league minimum.

Soriano rejected earlier today so that insures a draft pick for both if they sign elsewhere

Red Sox in the mix for an awful lot of guys. Sucks to come in last place but must be nice to have a $40 million payroll and $140million to play with.

They could be a force very quickly.

oh you couldn't be more wrong. They have interest in everybody but nobody wants to go there. After what has gone on with Boston for the last 3 years every player is looking else where before they sign a deal with Boston. Boston is looking to see what players are dumb enough to sign there
