Ok, Leo is going to summarize what really happened here:
The Yankee Brass watched the last 60 or so games of the regular season where we were basically .500 and nearly collapsed with a 10 game lead.
They see the O's , A's and Rays , with a combined payroll of 12 cents all have super years.
Yanks have worst attendance in a decade.
So, they are already fuming behind closed doors.
Then, we miraculously sneak by a completely inferior O's team. Lets be honest, they stink.
They watch their $300 million man completely choke in every single big at bat in the first few playoff games for the 8th year out of 9.
They realize that while the Swishers and Grandys of the world also suck, they are short term problems who can just be released in a few days if they wish. But not Arod. They owe him another $114-140 million over the next five years !
So, what to do? They realize this team has no chance to win it all this year, so lets make a business decision.
They decide to bench Arod, leak the chick story and devise a plan to make him so fkn humiliated that he wants out of here.
Mission accomplished. Genius, actually.

And Leo will become a commie bastard and spend the winter in North Korea
