They were the best in the NFL at this last season. Makes the struggles of the defense even more frustrating.Quote:
ttwentyman: Lions D has forced 37 3-&-outs in 142 possessions (26.1). That's fifth best % in NFL. Not being able to do it at end is frustrating part.
As the game goes on... the D struggles.
more like when teams stop running and start throwing we struggle. I am really surprised that more teams haven't just come out and thrown on us. It seems like we can't stop anyone in the passing game.
Lions OC Scott Linehan suggested that Mike Thomas will handle much of the slot work in three-receiver sets.
Thomas is expected to be the next man up to start opposite Calvin Johnson, but he'll move inside in sure-fire passing situations. Linehan also mentioned Brian Robiskie as a guy that's a "very good route runner" who has "excellent hands." Robiskie and Thomas will be needed to make some plays to keep defenses from putting a stranglehold on Megatron. We'll get a first-hand look how the Lions' pecking order will shake out tonight on Sunday Night Football in Green Bay.

What ever happened to Tim Toone

Mike Jenkins is a FA this year, with all the rumors the past couple years that Mayhew wants him, you think he brings him in? Re-sign Houston and draft a good saftey (resign Delmas) and suddenly we have a good secondary.
Jenkins - Delmas - Jefferson/Elam - Houston
Bentley - Green - Florence - Spievey
decent with some depth as well
wouldnt be apposed rather do that then draft one...
as u all no i fell as if CB is the most overated postion
I don't get bringing back Fluellen. Why not bring in another young guy with some more potential? We already know what we have with Fluellen and the season is lost...Quote:
To recap: DT Corey Williams went on IR, Andre Fluellen was signed. Ken Adams was cut off p-squad, Jimmy Saddler-McQueen resigned to p-squad
