You no what loosing arod really isn't that bad. He gets to rest till mid September and mabe he goes on a tear. I'm really hoping for Headley he does great on the road.
I am thrilled the Phillies extended Hamels. Although the Dodgers were favored to get him, I was concerned the Ranger or Angels would snag him. Since the Yankees don't play the Dodgers, he is a non issue to us.
Shame it wasn't Alex's eye socket and it wasn't career ending.

I really still don't get the Arod hate. So he gets paid a lot, uh, everybody is these days. Look at that Pujols contract, Lee's, now Hamels'. And he may not be the monster he was that is to be expected since he has aged but he is still one of the best hitters on the team.
