one thing is for sure, if we thought the Suter / Parise was nerve wracking this will be the most nervous 7 days as a Flyers fan to recent date lol.

I think you guys are all missing out on the big picture here. We just became the "ARSEHOLES" of the NHL. We became that team that goes after someones "RFA" We just said .... HEY NHL!!! It may be an ******* move but if it works for us who cares! Weber was going to walk after this year anyway. Once Suter left, webers train was prepping to leave the station. Nashville still gets the four first rounders as compensation which in my opinion is a pretty good deal because Nasvhille is going to lose weber regardless.

*******s win in life, its a proven fact. I feel like Giroux wouldn't sign an offer sheet from another team.....

Does this make the Flyers the sole trade partner for Weber until Nashville decides whether to match or not?

Also, if there is not a trade involving Schenn or Couturier, I honestly see this as a win-win. If we get Weber, we're a cup contender. If we don't, he won't be on a cup contender for the rest of his career.

4 low end first rounders is not a good deal for a PROVEN top 5 Dman...

NOT EVEN CLOSE lol..

Assuming the Flyers will finish making the playoffs every of those 4 years....should we expect less???

Predators would need to shell out $56M to Weber between now and July 1, 2014. That's $28M in next 347 days.

.....i'm stunned. i can honestly say i did not see this coming. i knew it was a scenario all along, but i just cannot believe anyone would actually do it.

i guess if anyone had the balls to do it, it would certainly be Homer.

i'm just stunned.....stunned.

possibly getting Shea Weber without giving up any players on the current roster AND AT A $7.85 MILLION CAP HIT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

It has been reported on this forum that the Flyers FO and the Preds FO are very close. That makes me think that this signing 1.) Didn't blindside the Preds and 2.) Wouldn't have been done if the Preds were gonna match.

reporting $52 million in bonuses in first 4 years...Weber's offer sheet looks more like an NFL contract,not an NHL one!

If NSH match PHI offer, they must keep him 1 calendar yr before trying to trade him. Oh and pay him 27M .

Orriginal offer sheet for Shea Weber was 1yr, but Preds would match. $68 mil in bonus $ in 1st 6 yrs, $27 mil total in less than 1 year.

Spending $26M in one calendar yr, NSH would be forking over 16% of entire franchise net worth ($163M in '11 Forbes) to match
