Any Ugly Kid Joe, Jackyl or Brother Cane fans? I think these 3 are underrated bands that just unfortunately, started out at the wrong time because of the Seattle scene.
Also heavily underrated, Blind Melon. "No Rain" doesn't do them justice.

Some of these late 90's bands you all are listing is the reason why Alternative became Mainstream. Alternative to what?
Alternative was a ******** *** made up genre in the first place. All popular music is basically garbage these days whether it has a cool, trendy name or not. It's the dumbing down of American culture. No one is willing to take risks on artists that dare to try something different.
Love me some Modest Mouse.
Who called in the music nazi?
Funny I just saw this thread...within he past month I have really gotten into 90s-00s alternative rock. I was born in 95. Some bands:
Weezer
Third Eye Blind
Blink 182
The Offspring
The Verve
Oasis
Incubus
Sugar Ray
OAR
Matchbox 20
The Killers
I know some of these bands were more so 2000s then 90s.
Snob would be better. You can listen to whatever want. I realized after the 90's it is better most people do.
I saw Radiohead once on the Pablo Honey tour for $3 with only 30-50 other people in the audience. Though they do everything right as far as their integrity & business side of things, I can't even imagine seeing them today with how huge their audience is now. These are the same people that would probably go see a Coldplay show or like Soundgarden & Stone Temple Pilots equally. ;)
If you think I'm bad, you should hear what comes out of the mouths of some of the people in my scene.
I just got done listening to this song.
HHAA....don't think I've heard that since the 90's.
any fans of The Jesus Lizard out there? I used to love those guys
Jesus Lizard are pretty dope. I like the album Goat a lot.
