Some of these late 90's bands you all are listing is the reason why Alternative became Mainstream. Alternative to what?
Alternative was a ******** *** made up genre in the first place. All popular music is basically garbage these days whether it has a cool, trendy name or not. It's the dumbing down of American culture. No one is willing to take risks on artists that dare to try something different.
Alternative was actually a term proudly used in the 80's, the days of hair & shredder metal and Mallrat music.Quote:

I know some of these bands were more so 2000s then 90s.
