Hamels. Great comp for Hultzen. I totally forgot Hamels.
We could also have Hamels 1.0 and I wouldn't complain one bit.

Unfair. Even if you keep Vargas or Noesi/Erasmo in there it's dirty.
Save the money on Hamels and go with Erasmo... But its very soon that we'll have a downright dominant rotation...
Hamels is going to cost a fortune. Id rather sign up a bat in RF and let Safeco do the rest.
What bat might that be Brodie?
I highly doubt Hamels will be signing for less than a 6 or 7 year contract, and with the kids we have I would rather not lock up that kind of money that long into a starting pitcher, not when we already have a good 5th starter option. I mean I would love to have him in our rotation, but he will be looking for 7/150+ without flinching. He's only 29, so he might even try and lock up an 8th year, and maybe asking 8/200. Contracts these days on the top FAs are just ridiculous. I mean he's maintained a healthy career so far, but I just don't like going that far and that rich with a pitcher.

could wright play SS?
No. Wright's probably not ideal. We'll see how Seager finishes though.
For those who are unaware or forgot (like me), Paxton is on the DL with a knee contusion. In theory he should be back soon though.
Fun stat: in his last four times to the mound Capps has gone a total of 7 2/3 IP with 16 Ks (0 ER, 4 hits, 3 BBs). There's gotta be someone in Tacoma that needs to come back to Jackson and switch places with Capps. Not sure what's holding him back.
Everyone in Tacoma except Erasmo, Carraway, and Delabar is garbage.
I hope you're just talking pitchers.
