Just realized how many recent star QBs in our conference have been the talk of the league. Stafford (Georgia), Newton (Auburn), and Tebow (Florida) have been all over the highlight shows. Two others, Eli (Ole Miss) and Cutler (Vandy), who seemed to take that next step and earn a lot of respect from those who doubted them. Even Matt Flynn had a good day today lol. Next up, you have Murray, Wilson, Bray, Mettenberger, maybe Shaw, etc all of whom will probably light it up next season.
The difference is that Stafford, Newton, Tebow, both Mannings and Cutler were all seen as big NFL prospects while playing in the SEC. Aside from Tebow all those guys were top 10 draft picks. I don't see those guys being top 5 picks like most of the players you mentioned above.Quote:

But regardless Quarterback play has to be better in the SEC in 2012 than in 2011. As a whole quarterback play was terrible this year.
