Trade Teixeira to Cubs and Sign Pujols?
The following is more of a question than a suggestion. Since the Cubs are interested in spending big buck$ to sign Albert Pujols, does anyone think that the Yankees should sign Pujols and trade Teixeira to the Cubs? Like I said, the Cubs seem willing to spend a lot of money for Pujols, so what if the Yankees outbid them? Will the Cubs be willing to make a trade for Teixeira? I really am disappointed in Teixera. I know that he had a lot of home runs and rbi's, but he faltered a lot at the end of the season. To me, he tries to pull too much and uppercuts the ball. He is home run happy, especially at Yankee Stadium. He's turned out to be a one dimensional hitter. Pujols on the other hand, goes the other way. I've seen him hit home runs to right field. Texeira is strictly a pull hitter. That is why they shift 3 guys to the right side for him. If the Yankees can get rid of a big contract like Teixeira's, then they can sign Pujols. They can also acquire pitching for Tex. Anyone agree?
