view point prior to draft, and during the time to choose a player.
Personally i have always believed that an offensive line is the more important of the 2 lines. Now because it's a team sport each and every position is important in forming a winning team, but i think the hogmollies allow the offense to do it's job. I just can't remember seeing a super bowl winning team win with a horrible offensive line. I've seen teams win with so so defenses, but that doesn't minimize the importance of a defensive pass rush.
Now in terms of Felix Jones, are you referring to a viewpoint prior to the entire draft, during our time to choose a player, or after the fact?
Ok i've got some answers and a couple questions. First it's an in depth question because there's pro's and con's for each. If i had to start from scratch, like you asked and this is before i had any players to choose from, i'd probably go for a 3-4. My reasoning is dependent on the players i have to choose from, draft order, etc. I think it's easier to find a big bodied DE than can assist on blocking for OLB, then it is to find a DE like that of Peppers or Williams. Those types of DE's are big and quick. They don't come around that often.
not a problem.
ok can you give me a little bit of time to think about it?
if you were starting a team from scratch, what defense would you start with? 4-3 or 3-4?
more vital to a teams success. great offensive line, or defensive line? (including pass rush)
when jerry jones drafted felix jones, who did you want? i know chris is now, but at the time, who were you hoping we would draft? ( both picks )
im bored, and wanted some insight on your philosophy's...
you wouldnt happen to know what the scale is would you?
