Basketball hasn't caught up to baseball analytically. You can find assist percentage, but I am not aware of "missed assists", or anything like that. And if we look at a guy like Rondo, when you watch him play, you can see he obviously pads his assist totals, versus a player like Paul, who is simply making the right play, etc.
However, when it comes to scoring, rebounding, etc, ie, YOU did it individually, there are easy measures.
responded back to your stats question in the NBA forum. Gave one site/examples, let me know if you want to see others dude, that is a very respected site.
Cool thanks. I seen Bill James had them pretty equal outsode of strikeouts. Morrow does worry me with injuries, althogh Johnson certainly has had problems too. Right after I sent that to you I found this article, I was leaning Johnson already and after reading it and your opinion I'll definitely stick with him.
I also just made this trade
I received- Fielder, Moustakas, Alcides Escobar and Cain
I traded- Pujols, BJ Upton and Hanley
I agve up a lot, but think it should work out. Fielder and Pujols are a wash. Moustakas and Escobar make up for Hanley. Cain will probably be worth more than Upton. Plus I already have Felix and Weaver. I have Burnett, Kennedy(who I expect to bounce back) and Garza also.
I see you dont do fantasy baseball, but I know you you could still prolly help. Wondering who you think has a better year, Brandon Morrow or Josh Johnson. Traditional stats of course.
since your the dude with all the stats how does a team with the most wins one year do the very next year?
no prob. I'm surprised you're not a fantasy baseball guy haha dont worry we play with more sab stats
the contact is a dude I went to college with kind of a douche but a cool idea
duno if you saw this but the Cardinals are doing a special where you can do your fantasy baseball draft at busch stadium. Its 85 bucks a person all you can drink beer + buffet. Each person gets a hat and 2 tickets to a game plus they will make an engraved bat for your team trophy. Thought it sounded kind of cool
One thing for sure they got rid of the Distractions Bobby V, Beckett, Gonzo, Crawford & incoulding Pitching coach Bob Mcclure . And brought in guys who have a sense of humor & passion which makes a healthy club house. which we lacked & is imo was one of the reasons that hurt this team. But they also Brought in Juan Nieves as the Pitching Coach & made the Bullpen stronger by making some pretty good moves. if they can have a Stong Bullpen with a Good (Not Great) Rotation & a Good lineup then that could win you 85 games.
They are a 3rd place team but I don't see them just getting 75 wins I think 85 is more reasonable. But I think they will surprise people
