i play beat the streak on mlb.com where you pick a player each day to get a hit. do you play? is there any certain stat you would suggest to get a slight edge? like would you think picking a hitter facing wainwright would be smart because his walk rate is so astonishingly low?
are you surprised with my Nats slow start to the season?
Sorry for going in on your point there btw..
Pitchers not throwing as hard in regards to average velocity in the previous decades i mentioned.
I mean we have a ton of guys now who throw 93-95 with their average velocity (reaching higher when they want to). Wondering if the increased velocity is leading to more numerous arm injuries.
Hey we were talking average velocity throughout the decades in the Dylan Bundy thread.
Was wondering if the possible correlation between more significant and more frequent arm injuries could have to do with pitchers throwing harder than they did previously.
This might be a tough question but do you happen to have any of the statistical stuff that documents average velocity from the 1930s to the 1960s or 1970s.
Figured i'd asked the PSD resident baseball encyclopedia lol..
Yeah going out of your way to list all those historical events that have happened since the Cubs won the WS.
Something tells me you enjoyed every second of that post...
I've been good. Yeah, I had to get away from the same old arguments on here. Nothing ever changed and I see it is pretty much the same. There's only so much I could take haha. Glad to see you're going strong. I'll be around more often though probably not in the MLB section but I'll pop in the Cards section. A lot of great things brewing in STL this season. Just sucks Carpenter can't return.
Hey dude, long time no write. How have you been? I was glad to see Craig got a good extension! Great move for the Cards! Hope all has been well
I'm curious as to why norm had to change his sig? It was not against the rules what so ever
