Stop agreeing with me. It's not fair and makes me question myself.
I know we disagree politically but this should be sad for all of us...
Hi Jomota. I appreciated the article about Vinny. I hope you do not mind that I put it in a NY Rangers off season free agent and trade thread. I did that because we typically are not supposed to allow off topic threads. Thanks again.
Alright, you are all set now.
Well the only reason why i mentioned it is because the textbook definition of graffiti doesn't have to mean it's illegal (although i'll admit in most cases it is).
Graffiti is in more reference to the actual markings or drawings themselves.
Now openly defacing public property like i said before i am not a fan of but people who use that type of art to express themselves on private property in which the owner doesn't have a problem with it, i can't say i do either.
Gang signs are not urban art, they are stupid and are very much vandalism, but there is real art out there like the Joe Strummer mural on East 7th street in Manhattan which used to be owned by the city itself and kept the mural there after it was sold.
To each their own, borough graffiti has become more accepted over the years.
I am certainly not implying that defacing property is a good idea but a lot of businesses have used urban art to lure in a newer generation of customers.
I know the more harmful kind still exists but we are long since dilapidating subway cars and homes like we did in the 70s and 80s (at least to the extent in which we did it), it's become more of a reformed style for vocations that choose to use it.
You see it a lot with automotive businesses, retail stores, etc etc.
I posted that in response to what you said about graffiti, i didn't want you to get the insinuation i am cool with people doing it. I just understand those who choose to do it to whatever establishment they might own is a different set of circumstances.
Hey jo. I saw a few weeks ago when we had that thread about favorite sports teams you mentioned the Tampa Bay Bucs. Just wanted to know what you have thought so far about what they've done in free agency and yesterday in the draft? I'm thinking it's going to be a worst to first season for them. They are so stacked I really think they can at least make it to the NFC Championship game with these key additions. Thoughts?
