Ah, yeah makes sense to try to get backing for it if you can.
BTW, are you familiar with Evan Z's work? He's a big Warriors fan, blogs for Golden State of Mind. You might like some of his work. The interesting thing about twitter is there are so many bloggers out there and you get an easy way to get introduced to their work. A lot of different sites I've found that I never knew about before joining/interacting on twitter. Some of it gets posted on the APBR board, some doesn't. (the Hickory-High stuff for example)
I sent you a follow request on twitter. Have been using it more then I ever did but with a purpose. Noticed you haven't tweeted at all. Whenever you do launch your website, could be a good idea to tweet a bit more to get more publicity.
If you don't mind me asking, what's the larger project? And are you going to be launching the site with the backing of something? Or is it gonna be a blog type site?
do you have a twitter account? Been on twitter a bit more recently
Also, how're the plans for the website going?
So as a Warriors fan, I assume you'll like this. Steph Curry uses analytics: https://twitter.com/VantageSports/st...53618599542784
In regards to LBJ's defense this year, he's been slacking a ton. A bit old but not sure if you saw this: http://www.hickory-high.com/?p=11457 Then if you look at his defensive RAPM for this year, it's in the negatives.
Actually, had a twitter conversation with the author of the hickory-high article, there's some evidence that LBJ's had difficulty contesting shots on defense even before this year. Obviously, doesn't mean he's not great defensively but that article did bring up an interesting point about LBJ's defense (and how he struggled with a guy like Terry).
Hahaha, you just gotta PM one of the administrator's and ask them for subtle changes (ie. Capitalize the B, drop some numbers, etc.).
I needed to, so now I don't look like a ****ing robot.
hey i cleared up some PM space so you can send the PM
Just submitted an abstract to the MIT SSC. We'll see if I end up advancing to present at the conference. But I'll be going regardless. Being a student does have it's advantages. Being a grad student may have an even bigger advantage tho- the university may pick up my registration costs.
