I thought you were in support of the idea because of your strong stand on how it wouldn't ruin the NFL.

I guess it wouldn't ruin the NFL, but if any significant amount of NFL (good) players played an some sort of Olympics and a superstar (Brady/Manning - like injury) then it could and would devastate a contender's chances, nonetheless ruining the "real champion". Right now injuries a part of the game, but I think making "injures not having to do with the NFL" a part of the game would be really, really bad for the league.

Lol or you could say that too. But he's seriously just getting tiresome. He's getting to be worse then Addix or Mr.#'s.

Honestly, I don't know what you're trying to argue, and I don't think you understood what I said.

Because I can not go back and look at your response and you can't look at what I initially said, I feel like there was something lost in translation.

If you could just say your stance very specifically on whether you would be for or against football being a part of the Olympics, maybe we could understand eachother better.

And on a serious note: If you meant it wouldn't "financially" ruin it, I'm not talking about "financially" ruining it.

I'm lost on what you don't understand but I'd be glad to help you understand if you ask nicely.

Legend, an Australian football team would never compete with an American one even if you were QB. If that's why you got worked up, you need to come to reality.

    It will NEVER HAPPEN.

And if any significant amount of marketable, superstar players would enter because of the prestige factor you mentioned (not saying they wouldn't, I'd love to play for U.S.A) that would mean injuries: Injuries to marquee players in the NFL. You look at the injuries over the last few years just in the NFL alone: Peyton Manning (year), Tom Brady(year), etc., etc., etc.

Peyton Manning getting injured ruined the Colts this year. If an injury like that happened in the Olympics, how can you not understand the consequences that would lead for negative NFL play? I don't think you understand the physical tole a body goes under in an NFL season, nonetheless an NFL season followed by the Olympics, followed by another NFL season.

    It's unrealistic.

I've watched so much European Football, you really wouldn't believe it. No other country breeds football players like the US, and there wouldn't be competition.

Believe it or not, an NFL season takes a toll a players body and some of the players aren't able to make it through just one season. A large portion of offseason is used for rest and adding an Olympic games during that time that should be used for rest, just wouldn't be able to happen. It would take a huge toll on a players body.

And yes, I have seen play outside of my country (usa).

    thread got deleted:

4 week period isn't long enough for anything meaningful to be played out. Plus with the trials that would have to take place, etc. you'd figure at the bare minimum there'd be 10 weeks.

Regardless a NFL season, Olympic season, NFL season is way too much on a players body and owners would never go for it even if there were, hypothetically, 4 games (which I don't see how a 4 game system could ever work)

I don't know man. I mean I could tolerate him a bit more then usual at the start of the season. But now he's just gone full blown insane. I mean all the stuff about Nolan and RG3 is just getting crazy. But I will give credit when credit is due. He did call the rise of Reggie Bush and Cam Newton.
