are we still doing the creative meeting tonight
Hey I see that you post in the Agents of Shield thread, so you must at least somewhat like superheroes. Interested in joining the superhero redraft: http://forums.prosportsdaily.com/sho...#post28138349?
You got to clear some space in your PMs, so I can send you a message.
I made the pre show thread. I figure we can post whenever, and whoever posts also can be are guest at that time.
I wanted Peralta because of the draft pick. I think what Sandy is hesitating with in terms of Drew is them losing that 3rd round pick and his slot allotment, nevermind the money Drew will command but i understand the PED aspect, it's like Cruz.
Yeah Hardy would be a nice option. Hopefully they are thinking outside the box because it would set a bad example to bring Tejada back as the starter after all of what happened last year. But he can't be worse than last year imo either so they may very well find a platoon option or a guy who can compete to start there.
I like Drew but I think he's out of our price range and coupled with the pick they probably won't pursue him. I hope they look at Asdrubal Cabrera, Chris Owings, Hak Ju Lee, etc.
I don't want to see him dealt either unless they can package him for a quality SS but i guess it comes down to payroll. The Mets should have gotten Peralta because they wouldn't have lost a draft pick either.
We'll have to see but I think Sandy is gonna hold out for max value and that might mean he won't be able to deal either Murphy or Ike. Gonna be interesting to see what happens over the next 3 days and the rest of the offseason but I wouldn't want to trade one solution for another. They should keep Murph and look to deal a SP imo to find a SS.
Imagine what we could with a real large market budget..
Yeah it's very possible because defensive statistics are so fluid year to year. Lagares might not be as great a defender next year and provide the same value. That's where EYJR comes into play. I think Lags get the nod to start the season but if he doesn't hit he won't be in their lineup very long and he hasn't shown that ability yet.
As for CY, it comes down to how he hits. If he hits like he did last year, his lineup spot is far from guaranteed because he is not the same defender he was two years ago. Ultimately, it's a very fluid situation and could change very early into the season but I do think EYJR will play somewhere whether it's second base or LF.
