I know what he meant but I chucked at this.
  3. I can't defend this...it makes no damn sense.

  4. My understanding is that those permits are public knowledge but regardless of the legality it was a BS thing to do. There are some things that people shouldn't do even if they aren't illegal. I saw that there is action to make what they did illegal. I think the simpler way to do that would be to make certain parts of the permit not public knowledge. ZIP code can stay but certainly address and name should be private.

Your comment reminds me of a similar one: "Give a man a gun, he'll rob a bank. Give a man a bank, he'll rob the world".

But actually I came here to show you this article:

I think that would be the definition of kicking a beehive.

We have had our heated debates but this is just insane. Anytime someone calls me a left-winger, I know to write them off.
  6. I figured out why conservatives tend to hate welfare more than liberals.

It looks like states run by conservatives tend to make far more overpayments than liberal states.
  7. Stephen Colbert just made a great joke (since I don't think you watch his show I'm not worried about the spoiler.

He had a clip of Mitt Romney and his "running mate" and put up a picture of Mitt and Fox News' logo.

I haven't read the article yet, and may have to wait until tomorrow to do so, but I thought you would appreciate this article.
  9. My favorite paragraph and quite frankly one I would like to see Obama "borrow":

These economic royalists complain that we seek to overthrow the institutions of America. What they really complain of is that we seek to take away their power. Our allegiance to American institutions requires the overthrow of this kind of power. In vain they seek to hide behind the flag and the Constitution. In their blindness they forget what the flag and the Constitution stand for. Now, as always, they stand for democracy, not tyranny; for freedom, not subjection; and against a dictatorship by mob rule and the over-privileged alike.
