IHOP? More like IHATE

I've only had it twice and I don't really remember it but I do remember not liking it.

The high school version of me who would cut class, get high and eat there would give it a 10/10.

Current version of me says a 2. It's not good, but there are worse.

God....you guys are brutal.

I'd give the IHOP near me a 5, only because the Denny's is a 0.

I rarely go to IHOP though.

It's alright. Not that great though. 6/10 for me.

i haven't been to the IHOP around the corner from (or any other) in about 5-6 years, but when i was younger (HS years in particular), that place was great late night when we were drunk/hungover. pancakes or french toast, eggs, hash browns and bacon for like $4 back in the day.

but there are local diners that are just as close, twice as good and half the price...

Right behind pizza and bagels, diners are what I miss most from NY. At 3 am they can serve you either an omlette and pancakes OR grilled cheese OR cheese fries and gravy OR mozzarella sticks............OR lobster OR a steak........basically anything plus endless coffee AND they usually have a liquor selection behind the desk.

Amazing. Yeah and dirt cheap.

1/10 tied with denny's

If you ever want some good pancakes or french toast, go to a family diner. better quality and better price.

Holly hell NEVER go there when they have the unlimited stacks, you wait hours with all sorts of weird people for cardboard flavord ****

Gross...probably one of the worst breakfast chains I can think of.

I think it is what it is. If you go in expecting a high class, gourmet meal with exceptional presentation and service, you're not going to the right place.

If I ever want a quick meal at a decent price and it's late at night, there are far worse options. I rate it well above Denny's, about on par with a Perkin's, and below a Cracker Barrel.

3, only because of their plethora of syrup flavors. Far from my favorite. Ignoring homemade and local places (Which there are a ton of) I would much rather have Coco's or even Denny's.

One of the main problems outside of I hate hating pancakes, is every small medium or big place has diners that serve breakfast. I mean there are more places that serve breakfast and lunch then dinner mostly, so why go to a place like this for breakfast.

Because they have a big blue sign that says IHOP

Good point, but IHOP is a 24 hour institution (one near me is at least). While breakfast is better offered at other restaurants, I'm just saying, I can crawl in there at 3am and take up an entire booth, and goourge. That's probably why I perfer it, I'm always hammered when I enter, and stuffed when I leave.

I like Ihop. The food isn't fantastic, but it's cheap and the food isn't terrible.

IHOP after a night of drinking always hits the spot. But Perkins>>>>>>>>>>>>>Ihop. Also diner's are the bomb but they don't have too many down here :(

I enjoy iHop! Always satisfied though there are better local breakfast restaurants. For anyone that visits Pittsburgh, go to Pamela's. Seriously, like now.

Agreed, Perkins is better, but IHOP is still good, a 6/10

Denny's is the worst by far

Glad you liked my recommendation so much. :laugh2:

If you ever visit again, you should try DeLuca's this time. The Dor-Stop in Dormont is also pretty good.

If in the market for something a little different, Quiet Storm and Zenith are two awesome vegetarian places. Quiet Storm has like a billion awesome drinks (Nutella milkshake, for example) and Zenith has a Sunday brunch where you get an entree plus buffet for 10 bucks, and the buffet includes a shitload of ****ing awesome cakes.

iHop > Perkins

DeLuca's > Pamela's

Depends what you want. DeLuca's is where I go when I want a breakfast burrito. Pamela's is for pancakes.

6 because I have fond memories. It's not half the breakfast joint that Waffle House is, but for some cholesterol-laden carbs in a sugar bath it's not half bad. More realistically it's a 4.
