The league has not yet announced the various winners of the AFC and NFC player of the week awards.

But the Cardinals have let the cat out of the bag as to one of the six weekly prizes.

Defensive end Calais Campbell is the NFC special teams player of the week.

Typically, the prize is awarded based on making kicks or returning kicks. Campbell got his canned ham (or whatever they give out) for blocking a kick.

Specifically, Campbell blocked a field goal that would have cut Arizona's second-quarter lead to 10-6. The ball then was recovered by teammate Antrel Rolle and returned for a touchdown.

The 10-point swing put the Cards up by 14 points, 17-3.

The news release regarding Campbell's award also implies that quarterback Kurt Warner didn't win the NFC offensive player of the week award. This likely means that Drew Brees of the Saints will win the canned ham for a second straight week.

I liked Brees performance because he is my fantasy QB so I am diggin the points but i feel the same you set a record like that you should get the award.

This is going to be a great game, and a telling game for both teams.

Colts need to find their run D, they have to prove they can get off the field and give Manning the ball, it will be a tough job with the Cardinal offense getting healthy and starting to get into a groove.

Our Cards need to prove that the pass D is in fact improving, and have to show that they can focus every down for an entire game without giving up big plays. Offensively the line needs to show it can handle a great pass rush, they will have their hands full with Freeney and Mathis. Hightower and Beanie could have big games.

I could see this game going any directions, but we got a shot just have to play to our abilities. Since I have lived in both Indianapolis and Phoenix I am excited to root against all my friends (colts fans).

this is going to be a great game to watch. Both teams will score points but who evers D steps up or makes the biggest play will win this game. The Cards have really won every home game thats been "the big one" circled on the calendar since moving into the new stadium. Even the MNF collapsing loss to the Bears we all won in the end with Denny Greens melt down lol

Theres no reason to come in here and talk ****, there was nothing said in here that wouldnt have been said in any other teams forum. You guys kicked our ***, we know, you dont have to rub it in. Now if you would like to have a meaningful convo about something your more than welcome, but leave the smart *** comments about working for espn out of here. At some point this season you will be confident and make a statement that your team will play well, then they will end up pooping their pants, I will not rub your face in it so please dont act childish because we felt we would have played much better.

Hey I have no anomosity towards Cardinals fans or the Cardinals in general. I actually respect the crap out of Kurt Warner and that orginization. If you look at my post history you will find that i'm not the spiteful bashing poster that you make me out to be. As you have every right to assume that from my childish posts. What ticked me was - yes you can be confident and feel your team can rout your opponent, but to make these bold alligations about the Colts is just foolish. To say we should be 0-2 and we are going to get blown out. Come on, we are now 3-0 and arguably one of the best teams in the league. So off of emotion i felt it was neccessary to call him on that. I didn't mean any disrespect to any other Cardinals fans within this forum. My comments were directed to one person.

man peyton manning is good. he picked apart the cards like he could predict the future. He made DRC look like a damn fool (which he has been this year). The Cards continue to beat themselves. Week 1 we had far too many penalties week 3 red zone TO's. Can't have 2 turn overs from the 5yrd line in and expect to win especially when one of those to were tutned into a 95yrd peyton manning td drive. if the cards can play focused and disciplined football they could be 3-0. SO thats whats positive. Experts will say we are done or are the old cardinals. Coach wizz will kick this teams *** this bye week and it will be a different team on the field.

:laugh2: It's so funny. Everyone outside of Indianapolis says this is the year the Colts window closes and what do we do? Win 12 or more games every year and it looks like we are well on are way to that again. Keep on hatin and we'll keep on winnin!

yep i was wrong  lol i did underestimate the colts alot but i guess i also overestimated the cardinals alot more. I thought the cards would really step up this week but i guess not but I still think the colts have some holes but regardless they are one of the better teams in the league.

well obivously but i think they are slightly overrated mayb im wrong but they do have what looks like to be not to diffucult of a schedule then next couple of games and i wouldnt be surprised if they stayed undefeated but i also wouldnt be surpised if they ended up just winning the wild card or not getting in at all. i guess we will just have to wait and see

Anyone who thinks the Colts will not win the South either doesnt know what they are talking about or havent watched them and the other South teams play. The Colts are legit.

hold up man its 4 games theres 12 left you act like youve got the division and playoffs locked. yea i stick to what i said i wouldnt be surprised if they went 7-0 but if the went 7-6 i wouldnt be surprised either the colts are the best team in the south but jax, texans, and titans are all dangerous still. Peyton is awesome but the remeber last year i think DEN was 8-4 and had the 2nd best offense in the leauge last year and wound up missing the playoffs now i dont think it will happend to ind i think they will win the division but with 12 games left im not counting out anything.
