Matt Duchene - C Jul. 10 - 5:06 am et

Matt Duchene, the Avs first selection and third overall in the 2009 Entry Draft, could start the season in Colorado.
The retirement of superstar Joe Sakic has opened up a spot on the Avalanche roster and the talented Duchene could be the player to fill it. According to the CBA, he can play up to 10 games in the NHL without it costing the team a season as far as unrestricted free agency is concerned. "That's something the staff has to decide," Duchene said. "All I can do is worry about myself and what I can control and do my best out here this week and come September." Duchene is in Denver this week for prospect's camp. He is the Avs top prospect and will become an outstanding NHL player in the next few years. Grab him in all keeper leagues, if you can.

I hope this won't hurt his development.
