Get to see where we stack up in the NFC!

Im equally excited and nervous about this game. If we win, we'll make a huge statement and finally get some respect and if we lose I wouldn't be too upset because it is the Giants. Obviously I think we are gunna win...I cant wait.

Cardinals CB Rod Hood was sidelined during Sunday's game with Seahawks after aggravating his rib injury.

Corner Eric Green playing sparingly with a sore knee, so Ralph Brown saw significant playing time opposite Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. DRC is playing well, but the injuries could make Sunday's game with the Giants a more passing friendly affair.

this is going to be a great game for these reasons

1.) The Cardinals are the best home team in the NFL for the last 2yrs
2.) The Giants are the best road team in the NFL
3.) The Giants are the best overall team in the league
4.) Brandon jacobs? Who knows if he'll play

The Cards will throw and throw often because there is no way we can run on this team. There will be alot of pressure on warner coming form the D-Line and because of that I dont think he will ever or consistantly have the time to drop back and throw one of those 60yrd TD's. If the cards can keep there offense effective and not allow the giants running game to dominate, I like the Cards in this one. Either way I believe we will see a great game. Go Cards!

Playoff implications man. We could very well be the 2 teams getting a playoff bye. If the Cardinals win than we are 1 game behind the giants for the best record in the NFC and at that point we have a realistic shot at having home field advantage in the playoffs. Weve gotta win this one first to make any of that a possibility

I am also very excited about the chance to really show we belong with the better teams in the NFL. I know the Giants have just been dominate this season but I feel that we have a chance to win. We may not score 29 points but i think if we can score early and really get our crowd into it from the start of the game our boys will pick up on that momentum and they want to prove that they are legit and make that statement that the Cardinals have arrived. It should be an intense game and I am ready to spend for this one.

Mastajedi- I really didnt think about that, but scoring fast and often is the key for us. If we can put 10 or 14 on the board early, it will make the Giants run the ball less if theyre down.

Carolina is actually 8-2 but I dont think they'll last. In back to back weeks they almost lost to the Raiders and Lions. Their next games are @Atlanta, @Green Bay, Tampa Bay, Denver, @NYGiants, @Saints

We'll see how good Eli Manning is without Brandon Jacobs (the MVP of the league so far this year).

Action39Jackson

Lol, Brandon Jacobs isnt even close to the MVP. Without his o-line or D he wouldnt be doing nearly as good. Id take Warner, Portis, or AP for MVP over Jacobs.

chadillachembre

brandon jacobs will probably be in the pro bowl but i wouldnt consider him mvp of the league. its kurts award right now but it seems to change every week wether its brees or portis or kurt....

I hope Kurt Warner and the Cardinals destroy the Giants (Helps the Cowboys out a lot)...and Kurt Warner should win the MVP this year...the only other person I can see coming close to him is Adrian Peterson, and he is still far away.

there running back combo is insane. They lose Tiki 2yrs ago fill him in with jacobs and hes got bradshaw and ward behind him. i belive those 2 other guys could get 1000yrds on almost any team in this league if they started every day

Plaxico is now listed as Questionable for the game

TheRedMarauder
11-22-2008, 01:05 AM
Cardinals CB Roderick Hood (questionable, ribs) will not start in Week 12. At best he will play off the bench.

Upgrade the Giants' passing game, though it may be minus Plaxico Burress (hamstring, questionable). Hood has been Arizona's top corner this year and is often used to shadow the opposing top receiver. Eric Green, who was benched earlier, will start opposite rookie Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

Actually, the Giants will run the ball when they're down as long as its not the 4th quarter or a rather large lead in the 3rd.

chadillachembre

The Giants are the highest scoring team in the league (29.2) and give up the 5th fewest ammount of points (17) we are the 2nd highest team in scoring (28.9) and give up the 18th fewest ammount of points(22.8). a possitive though is that the giants strength is running which is our strength as well on Defense which we rank 7th (89.8yrds a game). our passing game is the strongest part of our team and they are the 2nd best passing defense in the league (174.8 yrds a game). I dont want to discredit the Giants secondary but they have not a played more than one game against a team with a respectable passing game. Teams theyve played thus far are washington, STL, Cincy, Seattle, Frisco, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Philly, Dallas, and Baltimore. Theres no doubt they have a strong secondary unit but on the other side of the coin theyve never seen a wr core like we have. its ridiculous to expect to shut down the run but if we can contain it and be sure to not let it kill us like it did baltimore last week i will like our chances because i think we will pass the ball well and consistantly with there slightly over rated 2ndary. Hightower is our X-Factor. If he has a good game we win.

Action39Jackson
11-23-2008, 12:11 AM
I dont really agree on the Hightower part...hes done nothing that past 2 weeks and we won both games. JJ is playing much better than Tim right now.

Thats what we gotta do, force Eli to beat us...1 more day!!!!!!!!!!

Be careful what you wish for....every team in the playoffs we faced last year said the same thing..."force Eli to beat us"

If you force Eli to beat you...chances are he will beat you.

The key for the Cardinals will be whether their O-line can give Warner enough time to drop back and throw it to his two great wide outs. The Giants have a very good secondary, but it doesnt matter, no secondary in the league can stop those two receivers. So it will be up the the Giant's pass rush to try to stop the Cardinals passing game.

On the other side of the ball...I dont know what to say. You guys just have to hope that our offense makes stupid turnovers...because we WILL move the ball on you.

Overall, I think it will be a close game...we will see if the Cards are for real.

I agree with you but the only reason people say let eli beat you is that the chances to win are far better if the ball is in the air than on the ground. The Giants are the best running team in the league so naturally we would want to throw it in the air. That doesnt go with out saying eli isnt a stud. I voted him into thepro bowl. its just picking the lesser of the evil running or passing

Cardinals declared TE Leonard Pope, third QB Brian St. Pierre, LB Clark Haggans, T Elliot Vallejo, T Brandon Keith, DT Alan Branch, WR Early Doucet, TE Jerame Tuman inactive for Week 12.

Pope was listed as probable on the injury report. He appears to be a healthy scratch.

what the hell was that fg/kickoff earlier? they elected to do that? i didnt get it one bit. the giants couldnt play defense on a fg attempt? if thats what you wanna call it. does that count towards a missed fg for rackers?

It was a free kick, a fair catch before the end of the half lets you kicks from somewhere kickoff style and if you make it it's 3 points.

Cardinals SS Adrian Wilson left in the final minutes of Sunday's loss to the Giants with a shoulder injury.

Team trainers have initially called it a "sprain," but Wilson will be re-evaluated early this week. The Cardinals play on Thursday, so there isn't going to be much recovery time for injuries. It would be a huge blow to Arizona's defense if Wilson is out. He had nine tackles Sunday and played a major role in shutting down the Giants' potent rushing attack.

well we learned how important special teams are. All the credit in the world goes to the Giants because they played great. Arizonas Offense and defense played very well. Its just tough to stop a great offense like NY on such a short field with all yardage special teams gave up. great win for the giants, hope to see you again ; )
