Browns coach Romeo Crennel expects Kellen Winslow (illness) to play this week against the Redskins.

Check back later in the week to make sure he practices, but it sounds like Winslow will be fine for Sunday.

Browns DE Shaun Smith (hand) has been ruled out for a second straight week.

A banged-up Browns defensive line will need a monster effort out of Shaun Rogers to slow the streaking Clinton Portis Sunday.

The Browns expect SS Sean Jones (knee) to return to practice this week.

Check the late-week practice reports to make sure he can go against the Redskins Sunday.

We have so much momentum going into this game, while they are coming off of a loss to the Rams. I love how a rookie leads our team in Sacks. lol.

The Redskins will probably win this game, unless the Browns are actually as good as they were last week.

Even though I think the Redskins are a better team than the Giants.

Should be a close one.. 24-20 Skins.

Redskins are not better than the Giants.

Kellen Winslow (illness) did not practice on Wednesday.

Winslow is still at home trying to get the swelling in his testicles to subside. Yeah, it's gross, but it's true. He's questionable for Week 7.

Kellen Winslow (illness) rejoined the Browns on Thursday, but was not medically cleared to resume practicing.

Winslow was spotted walking at the Browns' practice facility, but didn't take part in Thursday's workout. Practicing Friday would be a great sign for his chances of facing the Redskins. For now, his status remains up in the air.

Browns SS Sean Jones (knee) has resumed practicing at full tilt and is on track to play in Week 7.

Cleveland suggested that it may employ a three-man safety rotation until Jones is 100 percent. He's had a long time to recover and if he's playing well, he'll be hard to take out.

After practicing on a "limited" basis Friday, Kellen Winslow (illness) declared himself "back...and good to go" for Sunday's game against Washington.
Winslow, who's listed as questionable on the injury report, wouldn't give any details about his unspecified illness, but is a fair bet to start and play extensively on Sunday. Have him in your lineup, but also save an alternative in a later game just in case.

Kellen Winslow (illness) practiced with the Browns' first-team offense on Friday and looks setup to play in Week 7.

This should be all Winslow needed to do to prove that he's ready to go. He needs to be penciled into fantasy lineups and checked back on Sunday.

Good luck Browns fans.

If they win, maybe I can buy into this "turned a corner" stuff.

As a Skins fan, I can honestly say that this game scares me...

The Browns are starting to get healthy, and are looking like the team that they had the potential to be after last season.

The Browns cleared Kellen Winslow (illness) to play during warmups Sunday and he will face the Redskins.

The Browns also cleared SS Sean Jones (knee), who will start, and deactivated third safety Mike Adams. Winslow was listed behind Steve Heiden on the pre-game depth chart, but he figures to play extensively anyways and is definitely worth using if you've waited this long.

Browns declared TE Martin Rucker, RT Ryan Tucker, S Hamza Abdullah, LB Beau Bell, OL Scott Young, DE Shaun Smith, S Mike Adams, and third QB Ken Dorsey inactive for Week 7 against Washington.

Tucker's inactivity means Kevin Shaffer returns from his concussion, and that's good news for Cleveland's ground game. Louis Leonard starts for Smith.

I am usually pretty realistic, I don't pick the Browns to win every game.

But after seeing how well we played last week vs. a solid team, I feel that we may be ready to begin playing up to our potential. This is a crucial game for us. If we lose & go to 2-4, our playoff hopes are nearly gone. If we win it & go to 3-3, then we will continue to have increased confidence & hopefully make a run at equaling last year's record of 10-6.

I am officially joining the bench Anderson for Quinn contingent. ANderson is awful. An average performance today by a NFL QB would have netted us the win. Edwards dropped some passes but Anderson was awful. Its time to see if Quinn can lead them team to victory. Anderson clearly will not help this team win on a consistent basis. He needs to be benched and if Crennel cant see that he needs to be fired.

Browns FB Lawrence Vickers and Derek Anderson got into a heated exchange in the fourth quarter Sunday, but later downplayed the incident.

Vickers shoved Anderson's hand off his shoulder as the two were walking toward the sideline and some shouting ensued. "It was nothing," said Vickers, who had eight total yards in the losing effort. "There's nothing bad between us. No beef. No issues," said Anderson.

Browns DE Corey Williams (shoulder) ensured the Cleveland media after Sunday's game that he will be fine for Week 8.

Williams left in the second quarter Sunday, but later returned. The Browns need him badly with Robaire Smith and Shaun Smith already sidelined. "I'll be fine," he said. "I'll play next week. I knew I had to come back in. We're thin on the defensive line." Williams has 18 tackles and only a half sack so far.

After Kellen Winslow told reporters that he was upset with Browns GM Phil Savage, coach Romeo Crennel said Monday that Winslow was out of line.

"He should address it with the team, not the media," Crennel said. "It’s a distraction for the organization and for Kellen. It’s taking away from football questions." Winslow felt hurt when Savage didn't call him in the hospital last week. The Browns aren't ruling out issuing the tight end some discipline.
